Urban Outfitters was first founded in 1970. Since these humble beginnings, the brand has greatly expanded and explored the domain of fashion.
The company sell their hipster and kitsch designs internationally in over one hundred and seventy stores, with an online store to boot.
With the rapid rise in social media, many companies swiftly boarded the blogging train.
Despite their almost cult-like following from many personal styling bloggers, Urban Outfitters Europe was one of the few brands to omit this form of communication from their online portfolio.
Today, Urban Outfitters launch their European / UK Blog; a collation of the brand’s daily musings on music, film, fashion and of course Urban Outfitters news.
This new member of the Urban Outfitters Community will allow fans of the brand to actively engage with and provide feedback on the brand’s products, services and online interests.
For me, one of the most interest elements of the blog are the attempts to include the consumer with competitions, celebrity critiques and product exclusives, which are all available on one platform.
Will Urban Outfitter’s Blog become a regular read for you?

I think this is a kind of desperate tactic by UO, and a little late to boot – their sales are absolutely plummeting all over the globe, not helped by the fact that they’ve been stuck in a vintage / indie-cool aesthetic for what seems like forever … I might read it, but it won’t make me shop there.
